Behind the Stories

Yale University instructed my prose and encouraged my vision. I write with a soft voice, and I paint loudly. My process is similar in both genres, in that, I find a place to start and modify it until the work is complete. Yale University coaches my writing and the University of Minnesota guided the development of my art.

A Lifetime of Achievement

Barb Janisch’s stories have been published in multiple publications, including the St. Paul Pioneer Press, The Lake St. News, The Skyway News, and the poetry book Reverencing Earth.

Her paintings have been included in numerous major exhibitions and calendars and purchased by collectors, museums, and corporate galleries, including a stunning opening exhibit at the International Art Expo in New York. Barb’s painting, The Crucifixion, was added to the permanent collection of the Billy Graham Center Museum in Chicago, IL.
